About The Perch

The Perch is a leaderboard, not a marketplace. Sellers list a product they want more eyes on — electronics, furniture, SaaS tools, anything with a URL — alongside a link to their own store or product page. Buyers browse the leaderboard and click through to buy directly from the seller, on the seller's own site. We never handle the sale itself.

Rank is earned by bidding, not by review scores or an algorithm. The more a seller bids, the higher their product climbs within its category — and the site's homepage — for everyone to see. Anyone can list a similar or identical product with their own link and outbid their way past it. It's a leaderboard in the most literal sense: whoever has put the most behind their spot holds it, until someone else bids higher.

Bidding is never a purchase. Paying to raise your rank doesn't transfer ownership of anything, and being outbid doesn't mean you lose a sale you already had — it just means someone else is currently paying more to be seen first. There's no account or login — just an anonymous session tied to your browser. Submitting a product or placing a bid asks for a name and email so people can tell who's who on the leaderboard and bid history, but that's the extent of it.
